Seattle!! The rest of the days!

Our second day was spent doing wedding stuff.  It was another beautiful day.  Jordan and Rachael were married at noon so we spent some time before and after the sealing walking around the temple grounds.  We all went to lunch after and then spent the evening at the reception.  It was so fun to be with most of Nate's family.  Sadly, I didn't get many pictures that day.  Hoping the wedding photographer got some good ones!!

The newly weds with many nieces and nephews (but not all)!!

Their reception was held in this beautiful old church.

On Saturday we spent the morning at Pike Place Market again.  This time it was with Nate's family.  It finally got to be more normal Seattle weather so it was cool and rainy.  We found the famous 'gum wall' under the market.  It was nasty!!  We parted ways around lunch time because people were catching flights out of Seattle in the afternoon.  Can't wait to be with all of them at our reunion in July!

We spent the rest of our afternoon at the Museum of Flight.  It was awesome!!  There were so many different airplanes to see and go inside.  We loved it!

Somehow this got out of order, but the kids did get plenty of swimming in on our trip too!!

Yes Nate was impaled by the helicopter.

It was such a nice trip.  We got up Sunday morning and went to a ward in Federal Way.  It was a small but awesome ward.  Then we headed to the airport and made it home Sunday evening.  If anything it was nice to get away and be with family!  Oh, and I really did go on the trip.  I realized as I was going through my pictures that I wasn't in any of them.  Bummer!! Finally, only 3 weeks of school left!! :)

Seattle!! Day 1

We had the lucky opportunity to get away to Seattle for a few days for the wedding of Nate's brother Jordan.  We flew into Seattle on the evening of Wednesday April 30th and stayed until May 4th.  We spent two days sightseeing and a day doing wedding stuff.  It was a fun mini vacation and the weather was awesome (which is rare for Seattle).  :)  I decided to divide it into two posts so it wasn't a picture crazy post!!

Our first day was spent roaming around Pike Place Market, walking and boat touring around the harbor, riding the monorail, going up the space needle and eating lots of good food!!

Pike Place Market was awesome!!

Famous fish throwers behind the kids.

Tons of beautiful (and cheaply priced) flowers.  You could buy a huge bouquet for $10 to $15. Wish I could have brought some home!

 Famous Mac and Cheese!!

We went on a ferry ride around the harbor of the bay.  It was so sunny and warm.  I learned so much about Seattle.  It was awesome! I had to get  a picture of each kid with the Space Needle! :)

We rode the monorail to the space needle and decided to venture up to the top.  It was an amazing view especially with the clear (not rainy) skies.

I was hoping you could see Mt. Rainier in the background but it was too hazy around the mountain.  It was an amazing sight.  Sadly we had to cut our day a little shorter than we wanted to because it was May Day and people like to protest and cause problems around downtown Seattle that day.  We just felt so lucky to have had such perfect (85 degree) weather for our sight seeing!
