Spring Break 2014

We get to have a little vacation up to Seattle the first week of May because of Uncle Jordan's wedding so we decided to keep it simple for Spring Break this year.  We spent the first part of the week at home and then stayed in a hotel in Salt Lake for a couple of nights.  It was the perfect way to spend our week (especially since the weather wasn't great).  We had time at home and time away.  One of the days we were home we took an adventure up to Cache Valley.  Gavin has Cache County for his county report so we decided to go learn more about it and get some pictures along the way.  I took a bunch of pictures, mostly of historical places in the county.  Nate was out of town, so my parents came along for the adventure.  We saw many places in Utah that we have never seen.  It was a fun day even though it was snowy and cold!

We just had to get some Aggie ice cream!

The second part of our week was spent doing fun stuff in Salt Lake.  We ate a lot of good food and the kids got a bunch of swimming in at the hotel.  We saw the new Muppet Movie to start our fun off.  The next day we went to the Natural History Museum up by the U of U.  It was very cool! I especially enjoyed the Chocolate exhibit! :)  We went to the Church History Museum too.  They have such a great kids area.  We ended our Spring Break watching general conference at Grandpa and Grandma Kohl's house.  It is so fun to have them living closer to us! It was a great week and REALLY hard to go back to school.  The only way I could motivate the boys to get to school the Monday after was to tell them "only 8 more weeks until summer!"  We can't wait!

The yummiest (and very interesting) part of the museum.

Brushing up on our Spanish dancing skills! :)

Yes, Liam is wearing a skirt.  That boy is crazy!

The flowers at Temple Square were beautiful, so of course I wanted a nice picture of the kids with the flowers in the background.  This is what I got:

I love my kids!
