Duck Creek 2013

And then on to the Andersen Family Reunion.  (The past three posts all occurred in a 2 week period.  We were home long enough to do to laundry, buy more food, and go to Day Camp) :) This reunion is for Nate's mom's side of the family.  There is a cabin down in Duck Creek, Utah (near Cedar City) that we all gather for the reunion.  Although we always rent our own cabin to sleep at to avoid the crowds at the family cabin. We had a great time fishing, hiking, and spending time with family.  The weather didn't cooperate the best.  We got rained on almost every afternoon.  So, we would have liked to have hiked and fished more, but had to hang out in our rented cabin instead.  We always look forward to our visit to Duck Creek.  It is beautiful and has so much wildlife around.

Doughnut eating contest for 5 and under. Ashlyn dives right in! :)

 For the older kids.

Ashlyn's fort that Nate built for her. :)

There was a sling shot at the cabin we rented so everyone took their turn shooting rocks.

The rented cabin.  It was awesome!

One of the activities was a cake quilt.  The kids got to decorate cake squares and then they put them together like a quilt.  I think Gavin won the award for the most frosting and candy on his cake. Yuck!

These pictures are out of order, but on our way home we stopped at Nate's sisters house in Provo and had dinner.  Nate's other sister Kristin and her family came after driving across the country from Georgia.  They made the move to Utah!! We are so excited for them to be closer!
This is Ashlyn with Eva, Bryn, and Blake.

On our drive from Duck Creek we passed through Cedar Breaks National Park.  We made a quick stop to see the this beautiful place and grabbed a few pictures.

 Goofy!
