8 Years!

Today marks 8 years of marriage to my EC (Eternal Companion). It has been a wonderful 8 years and I look forward to many more! (I don't have any pictures scanned from our wedding so our trip to Florida last year will have to do!)

I thought I would put a picture of what the Salt LakeTemple looked like when we got married. The lights were up, and there was plenty of snow!

Happy Holidays!

I can't believe that Christmas is already over! December has flown by. We have had a lot of fun and done plenty of partying. I am happy that we have another week off from school and that Nate is going to be home for most of the week too! Santa came and dropped too many toys that I'm not sure where to put away. I guess we are going to have to do some de-cluttering before we can put everything away. Nate bought me too much that includes: a camera, vacuum, and shop-vac. Hopefully all my pictures will be a little better quality from now on. I've added tons of pictures of stuff that we have done this month. Enjoy!

Nate's first snowman of the season. He is way too creative!

Decorating the Tree(s)

We went out in the snow storm yesterday and picked out our 'real' Christmas tree. It was the last of the Christmas decorating that we had to do. Of course the tree is WAY to big, but the kids picked it out and love it! So, here are a few pictures of our 'real' tree and our 'fake' tree (also known as Mom's tree to decorate) Hope you are enjoying the Christmas Season so far.

Real Tree! (I think we need a bigger star!):)

Fake Tree!
P.S. I'm getting ready to tackle the task of sending out Christmas cards. If you would like one and I don't already have your address, leave me a comment with your address.

Ashlyn's Favorite Spot

Ashlyn has found her favorite place in our house. It doesn't matter where I put her down she always ends up there. Can you guess where? Yep, It's under the kitchen table. She LOVES to just hang our under there. As weird as it is, I think it's cute!

November Happenings...

I really would like to blog more often, but just can't seem to find the time. Since the boys are out of school for the Thanksgiving break I can take a second to post a few things while they play with Ashlyn. Here is a little of what has gone on this month so far.
Ashlyn went from this:

Ashlyn has become a BIG help when doing the dishes. (not really) :)

Liam seems to think my boots are really cool to wear!

Finally, we celebrated Liams birthday this past Monday. I can't believe he is 4 already. He had a fun day and loved his Donald Duck cake (made by Nate) and all his presents.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

The First Snow!

Today we had the first snowfall of the season. It was quite a blizzard for a while, but didn't accumulate to much. The boys did get to go out and run around in it. They didn't last long because according to them, "It is too cold!" Welcome to winter!

This is Halloween (Part 2)

Are you ready for a bunch of pictures? Here is the second part of our Halloween celebrations. This is amost everything we did last week. Enjoy!

First, we decorated (and ate) cookies for Family Home Evening.

Second, we carved pumpkins

Third, we got Liam dressed up for his preschool Halloween party.

Fourth, we got some cute pictures of our cute little pumpkin!

Fifth, we got the kids dressed up and took them trick or treating at Nate's work. The boys filled up there pumpkins with candy just going around Nate's work.

Lastly, we got the kids dressed up again on Halloween for our ward trunk or treat. The boys filled up their pumpkins with candy again! We have WAY too much candy, which means I have to eat it! :)
Whew! Aren't you glad that last week is over! :) On to November, our month of birthday celebrations!

This is Halloween...Part 1

We are all finally feeling better from our week of sickness. I am hoping that we did have the H1N1 and now we are done with it for the season. We are getting ready for the upcoming Halloween. We went to the fall carnival at Gavin's school last night, so the kids got dressed up in their costumes. Today we made pizzas because the kids wanted to make Jack-o-lantern pizza's. I think they turned out cute and the kids had fun. Tomorrow's FHE will be decorating Halloween cookies and then Tuesday we are planning to carve our jack-o-lanterns! So, more pictures will be coming from the fun this week!

H1N1? and a visit from our Georgia kin!

This past week was a little rough. Nate was gone from Sunday to Thursday for work. I don't like being a single mom and am very grateful to have my other half back home, and thankful he doesn't have to go again for a month or so. The other part of the week has been spent in sickness. Gavin started with it and has shared his germs with Liam, Ashlyn and now me. Nate has yet to get sick, but I'm sure he will get his turn. The question is do we just have colds, or do we have the dreaded H1N1? I don't think anyone knows the difference and there is no way I am going in to get tested for the H1N1 when they stick that huge Q-tip way up your nose and turn it a few times! So, we are just hoping for a quick recovery. Even though I am feeling awful I am grateful that this is the first time any of us have been sick since Ashlyn was born. We made it 6 months without any sickness. Pretty good, huh! :) Enough about that.

Even though we are a little under the weather we got to meet our niece/cousin Bryn. Nate's sister Kristin is in Utah for a quick visit and stopped by yesterday to see us. We loved having them here and made sure to get some photos of the two girl cousins together. Luckily they will be back out here for Christmas, so we hope to see them again in a few months!
