October Wedding!

September really flew by with the busyness of school, piano, scouts, ballet, gymnastics, church callings and work.  We enjoyed a warm September which allowed us to keep our garden growing and harvesting it.  We had tomatoes coming out our ears so now we have lots of sauce in the freezer. Yum!  Before we knew it Todd's (Nate's brother) wedding was upon us.  It was a chilly, wet day, but the rain stopped long enough for pictures!  The neatest thing was hearing the sealing done in Spanish.  Todd's new wife Raquel is from Ecuador and her mother only speaks Spanish so they requested the ceremony be done in Spanish.  It was awesome!  By the way, we only took a few pictures on Nate's phone which is not with me, so I stole some pictures from Nate's sister!! (Thanks Anna!)  :)

Best girl cousins!

That's my Liam!

Almost the whole Kohl family! (Just missing 3)

Labor Day Weekend 2015

We were able to get away to Bear Lake for one last 'hurrah' of summer over Labor Day weekend.  It ended up being really windy and not very warm, but it was still a fun weekend.  I think one of the highlights was watching BYU beat Nebraska in their first game of the season.  There were many doubters among us but in the end we were all cheering loudly for the win!!  It is always hard to say good bye to Bear Lake for another year, but we always look forward to next year!!

Braving the wind.

Beach football game!

Visiting BYU

After school started we decided to take a mini trip down to Utah County for a Friday/Saturday.  We had talked about taking the kids to BYU to walk around for a while so it was fun to finally do it.  We picked a busy time to do it with Education Week going on, but it turned out fine.

We hadn't been to the Bean Museum since they renovated it so we took some time to walk around there.  It was really nice!

Had to show the kid the famous bell tower.

Walking back down to campus.  Ah, the memories...

Of course we had to stop by the sports complex and look at the all the football memorabilia.  We love our BYU football!!

I may have stepped into a room that wasn't open to the public to grab this snapshot of the 1984 trophy!! :)

We stayed in a hotel Friday night and then spent Saturday morning at Provo Beach at the Riverwoods.  It was an interesting place but I think the kids had fun.

Nate and the boys did the indoor ropes course.

Ashlyn and I spent time at the kids zone and then we all played laser tag and bowled a game.  It was a fun way to spend some of the day.

We ended our mini trip with family dinner at Nate's sisters home in American Fork.  It is so fun to have most of Nate's family closer and get to spend more time with them!

First Day of School 2015

After all our summer fun school started again in the middle of August.  Liam and Ashlyn were more than ready to go back, but as usual, Gavin wasn't too excited.  He will always be my homebody. :)  It has been a BIG adjustment for me to have all my kids gone all day.  I really miss them when they're gone.  The first few days went by so slow, but of course I have plenty of work and projects to do so the days are going by more quickly now.  :)

Big 6th grader.

1st grade for her!

4th grade for my class clown!

I decided to grab some pictures of my flowers out in the yard so I can look at them in the long winter months and remember the warm summer days.

But first I had to get Spike in his favorite sunning spot on top of the grill!

My favorite! They are huge!

Here is what has occupied many of our Saturdays lately.  We have been making sauce to freeze with all the tomatoes we grew this year!

Bees Game, Day Trip, County Fair and Discovery Musuem

We really tried to pack in everything we could in the last few weeks before school started.  It was a fun few weeks of going to a Bees baseball game, riding the train down to visit my sister, the Davis County Fair, a few days spent at Seven Peaks water park and a visit to the Discovery Gateway Museum.  I am amazed we were able to do so much, and it was awesome!

Bee's baseball game with the Hess Family.

My cute nephew Richard.

Riding the train to Aunt Melanies! (and yes I made them do their workbooks) :)

Davis County Fair.  Lots of animals.  Gavin's favorite was the reptile house, of course.

We had tickets to the Discovery Gateway Museum that we needed to use so we spent a few hours exploring it.  The kids had fun, but I realized they are almost getting to old for it. So sad!

They're nuts!

This one is seriously nuts!

Sadly I never got any pictures of our outings to Seven Peaks with our friends the Rowells.  It was a great way to spend our last days of freedom!!
