First weeks of summer!

We have enjoyed our first 2 weeks of summer!!  Here are some highlights of what we have done.

Swimming at Roy Aquatic sponsored by NDPA!!
Ashlyn with her best buddy Claire.

Some of our cousins were staying with Grandma and Grandpa so we all went to the zoo for an afternoon!

We had to get our annual hike up Adam's Canyon done before it gets too hot!  And, Yes, I did do the hike, but didn't get in any pictures!

My beautiful and fragrant peonys were in bloom.  They are one of my favorite!

Ashlyn had her end of year dance recital.  She was mostly excited to get a new tu-tu and bows! :)

Finally we just finished two weeks of swimming lessons for Ashlyn.  I wanted the boys to have lessons too, but forgot to sign up the first day we could, so by the time I did sign them up the boys classes were all full. :(
Ashlyn is still a little fish.  She is an awesome swimmer!

School Is Out!

Here we are already at the end of another school year.  It always seems to drag on during the winter, but then all of the sudden it's Spring and the year is over.  Gavin and Liam both has AWESOME teachers this year.  We feel so blessed that they had such a good year of school.  It is hard to see them move on to another grade and new teachers when they really liked the ones they had.

Gavin's language arts teacher, Mrs. Hansen

Liam's language art teacher (very pregnant with twins!) Mrs. Coleman

Bring on Summer!!

BYU COUGARS!

BYU sports teams have been doing gatherings called Fan-fests around the Wasatch front so of course when we heard they would be in Davis County we went and checked it out.  They had booths set up for each sport and players from the teams to sign posters.  It was pretty cool.  The kids thought it was awesome to meet some actual football players.  The best part was that it was all free!! :)

Actual football pads, helmets, and balls for the kids to try on. My boys have a lot of growing to do to fit in all of those!

Testing out their football throwing skills

Of course we got to meet some cheerleaders and hold their pom-poms!

Cosmo!

Anyone ready for football to start! :)

No more Preschool!

Ashlyn is done with preschool!!  It is crazy to think she will be in kindergarten next year.  Ashlyn had her end of year program and graduation from preschool.  All three of my kids have had the same preschool teacher.  She is awesome!  Here are some pictures of the festivities!

4th grade program/projects

One of the first things to do after our trip to Seattle was finishing Gavin's 4th grade projects and going to his program.  During 4th grade they have studied about Utah and all the counties.  He had to do a county report, make a parade float, and a poster.  Gavin had Cache County which was awesome because we could drive there and get pictures and let Gavin actually see his county.  This helped greatly with his written report and his poster.  The 4th grade also had a program where they sang songs about Utah.  It was awesome! Probably the best program I have seen at our school so far.  The kids knew all the songs (they have been learning them since the first week of school) and they really seemed to love what they were doing.
A few days after the program they got to have a mountain man rendezvous.  They went to a few different stations to do pioneer type activities.  Of course the favorite station was the trading post!
The next week they also went on a field trip to Salt Lake City to see different historical sites around downtown.  It was a great few weeks of learning for Gavin.  He loved it! Sadly I only have pictures of his projects and program.  I was so busy helping with the rendezvous that I didn't get any pictures. :( And I didn't get to go on the field trip because of Ashlyn's preschool program/graduation.  Just know that everything was awesome! :)
