January/February Catch Up!!

What! It's March already?!! Where did the last 2 months go?  Now, I am not complaining at all because we are one step closer to Spring. We have been busy the last two months and it is a little overwhelming to try and get it all caught up on the blog.  So I am going for one long post with pictures of all the many different things (and certainly not everything) that has been going on the last 2 months.

We signed Liam up for ski lessons in January.  He did awesome and loves to ski!  Ashlyn and I went up for one of the Saturdays to watch the boys ski.  It was a very crowded day, but fun to watch everyone ski.  The boys (I include Nate as one of the boys) pretty much skied every weekend in January and February.

Nate made some of his yummy Czech food for us.  It is always so good.  Even our kids love it!!

We finally got bedroom furniture!!  It only took 12 years of marriage to do it!  The actual deliver and set up of the furniture was a little stressful because of an error made by the delivery guys, but it all turned out well.  I am so happy with the furniture and so glad to have a real bedroom!! :)

Liam had his 2nd grade Job Fair.  Each student is given an occupation to research and become.  Liam was a Baker.  He made a 'cake' out of molding clay.  It was awesome.  They had to do a presentation in class and then in the evening they had a program and time for the parents to walk around and see all the different occupations.

With his best buddy Ezra.

The 'cake'!

Gavin had another book report with an oral report.  I think this is our 3rd book report (I've lost track) this year.  He had to pick a biography so he chose George Washington.  It proved to be a little difficult to get him dressed up for his oral report, but he did well and got 100% so I guess that makes it all worth it! :)

We had our Cub Scout blue and gold banquet in February.  It was weird not to have to help with it. (I am in the primary presidency now) Liam earned his Bobcat award and Gavin earned his Bear award.  I am thankful for the great leaders they have that help them to get most of the things done to earn their awards at den meetings. It is one less stress for us.

Liam made a robot out of trash for a centerpiece at the banquet. :)

 Getting pinned.

Getting pinned again.

Ashlyn had a couple field trips in the last months.  We went to the Syracuse Family Fun Center.  She got to bowl and do bounce houses.  We also went to an Orthodontists office.  The kids got to play pin the braces on the teeth, pretend they were the patient and the orthodontist, and make finger molds.  It was a lot of fun!

Gavin had Piano Federation in February.  He did awesome and got a Superior rating!

Gavin decided he didn't want to go skiing the last weekend, so it was a Nate and Liam ski date!!

Finally my newest nephew Richard (and my sister Aimee) are here visiting for a couple weeks.  Richard reminds me so much of Gavin,  a grumpy baby who just needs to be entertained all the time. :) But he is still a handsome boy!
