First Day of School 2013

It is hard to believe that it is already time to go back to school.  The summer went way too fast.  The boys were ready to start the new year.  It was me that wasn't.  :)  I am one of those weird moms who actually likes having my kids home.  I miss them when they are gone all day at school.  But, I think the real reason I get depressed about school starting is the sad fact that summer is over and it is going to be cold soon.  I love summer and dread winter.  Anyway, on to a new year.  The boys both had great first days.  This year they both have men for their homeroom teachers.  (and they are both from Spain) :) It should be a very different, but fun year! Lagoon 2013

Last Thursday we spent the day with some cousins at Lagoon.  It was my brothers Stake Lagoon Day so we took advantage of the discounted price and had a great day.  The only down side was Nate was out-of-town and missed out on the fun.  :(  The weather was hot at first but a little storm went through in the afternoon and made the rest of the day and evening much more bearable.  I didn't have to go on too many rides.  My brother and sister-in-law took Gavin on all the big rides and Ashlyn and Liam were big enough to do all the kiddie rides without me.  It was nice. (I have never been much of an amusement park rider)  I did go on one ride that was one of my favorite, but after the ride I was so dizzy and couldn't think straight for ever.  Guess I am just too old. :(  Anyway, there was a fun time had by all!

 Ashlyn went with my brother, sister-in-law, and all the cousins on Rattlesnake Rapids.  She ended up getting the wettest!  She loved it! (I got to wait with my nephew Matthew) :)
