Don't worry, we are alive. I have been down with a nasty cold for the last two weeks, so I finally gave up and went to the doctor today. Now I have some antibiotics so I better be feeling much better in two days!
Now on to the purpose of this post. The second grade at Gavin's school have spent the last few weeks learning about occupations. Each child picked an occupation out of a hat and had to study it, write a report, create and art project, do an oral report, and finally have a job fair. Last night was the job fair/second grade program. I was able to get a few pictures of Gavin doing his job fair thing.
I wouldn't say it was a coincidence that Gavin picked out of a hat the occupation of a Veterinarian. It was the PERFECT job for him. He is all about animals especially reptiles. For his art project he used molding clay and made a snake and a cat. Nate helped him with ideas for his project, but Gavin created it all on his own. He did a great job on his oral report and on the program last night. I think we may have a future Veterinarian on our hands.
