Basement Pics

Here are some pics from the last couple weeks without a computer. Some of them are the basement and some are of our silly Ashlyn. They are totally out of order but oh well. Enjoy!

We had a family home evening about the armor of God, so we made our own armor. Gavin and Liam decorated all of it. Pretty cool.

Ashlyn loves to look at books before she goes to sleep. This is how I found her during one of her naps. The book must have put her right sleep.

March Madness

Hey blogger world we are not dead, only the computer. The good news is that my new computer arrived on Friday, but I haven't had the time to set it up yet. I promise to get to that sometime this week. Nate has been traveling the past two weeks so I have been without a computer which has been interesting. It made me realize how much time I waste on the computer. I have had so much extra time to do projects, play with the kids, and do my household duties. It also made me realize how much I depend on the internet for shopping, bills, communication, etc... So with that said I will be back into the computer world, but maybe more aware of how much time I spend on the computer. Once I get my new computer I will update the progress of our basement. We are almost ready to start painting. Nate spent a good 14 hours yesterday hanging doors, casings and baseboards. I will post pics when I can. We are looking forward to the basement being done hopefully by next week. We are excited to have all of Nate's family here next week for his sister's wedding. That's our update for now, pics to come soon!

The Computer Died

I guess having a desktop computer for 9 years is a long time, but I wasn't ready for it to just die! Yes, it happened on Saturday. It was working fine in the morning. Nate shut it down in the afternoon because out electrician was here working on the basement and needed to turn the power off. A few hours later I tried to turn it back on and nothing. We feel blessed that we purchased a laptop back in January for Nate to use for work, so at least we have some type of computer in our house (expect when Nate is traveling which is coming up). You may wonder why I am telling you all this sad story, well, when I was realizing everything on the dead computer that I couldn't get access too I realized that all the blogs I watch are on my favorites list on the dead computer which means I have no idea what any of the web addresses are. So, if you read this sad post will you send me your blog web address so I can start a new favorites list on our laptop? I would really appreciate it. We are working on extracting all our docs and pics from the dead computer, but who knows how much we won't be able to get. Now it's on to find a new desktop computer. Goodbye old HP friend of nine years. You have been a great desktop, but at least a new one will be faster! :)
