Bear Lake Week 1 in 2010

We got to go and enjoy our first week at Bear Lake last week. I took the kids up with my Mom and we stayed the whole week. It was great! The weather wasn't perfect, but the kids didn't care. They had fun playing in the mud and freezing water. We feel so lucky to have a place to go each summer to get away. Our 2nd week is at the end of July when my whole family will be there! We can't wait!

Ashlyn was covered in mud from head to toe everyday. I don't think I got all the sand out of her hair and ears until be got home to Syracuse!

Gavin's sandcastle that he built when Ashlyn was taking a nap. He couldn't build them when Ashy was awake because she had too much fun destroying them!

Ashy splashing in the water

Cute beach girl!

One of many of our 'pools' that we dug at the beach. Don't worry, Ashlyn isn't crying she was yelling with joy!

Swinging on the rope swing at the cabin. The boys can do it for hours!

Chilling in her pj's in the grass!

More swinging!

The boys with the cabin in the background! We love Bear Lake! Can't wait to go again!

June Happenings..

Wow! Did June fly by or what?! I cannot believe that June is almost over. It has been a crazy, but very fun month. I have a bunch of random pictures that show our June happenings.

Ashlyn LOVES to color. This fact saved us on our flights to and from Indiana. She was only happy if she had a crayon and coloring book close by. So, one day I came out of my room to find her coloring and luckily it wasn't on the floor! :)

Loves her crayons!

I love that she is on her belly, deep in thought about her coloring.

Gavin and Liam's cousin Bryce came to stay for a few days. One of the nights they had a 'sleepover' in the family room!

Liam in his sweet Indiana Jones outfit. Gotta love the shin guards!

Nate decided to take goofy jumping pictures. This one is pretty funny.

Another jump.

A great picture of my three kiddos!

My beautiful and fragrant roses are finally blooming!

(In between this picture and the one before we went to Bear Lake, but I will save that for another post.)
Finally, we went to the Syracuse Heritage Days Parade yesterday. It was hot, and we got lots of candy and that is about all I can say about it.

My cute Ashy waiting for the parade to start.

Indiana 2010

We just got back from a wonderful and relaxing trip to Grandma and Grandpa Kohl's house in Indiana. We had great weather and enjoyed being with most of Nate's family. It was so fun to visit in the summertime since we usually visit at Christmas time and only have cold and snow. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins, aunts, and uncles. It was a great week!

Chillin' at the airport. We got stuck in Minneapolis because of a mechanical issue with our first plane. Then we got sent to another plane and it had a problem too. We finally got sent to a third plane that got us to our destination. We were suppose to get in to Indianapolis at 6:00pm, but didn't actually get there until 9:30ish. Gotta love the airlines.

Watching the airplanes.

We went to watch Uncle Dan play Rugby on Memorial Day. This is Ashlyn and her cousin Liesel playing in the shade.

The three girl cousins: Ashlyn, Liesel, and Bryn.

Ashlyn hanging out in Grandpa and Grandma's backyard. She loved being outside!

One of a few volleyball games that took place while we were there.

Gavin couldn't get enough of the trampoline. I guess we may need to finally buy one for our backyard.

The last day we were there we went to a sprinkler park. The boys had a blast. Wish they had some in Utah!
