Gavin or Liam...You be the judge.

Just for fun and because I'm interested in other peoples opinion on this matter,
Who does Ashlyn look more like in this picture, Gavin or Liam?

Forget toys, I just need a box!

We got a package the other day and it left us with a good size box hanging around the house. I left Ashlyn in the family room for a few minutes before we were going to get Gavin and Liam from school. When I came out this is what I found:

I have no idea how she got in because the sides of the box were pretty high. Earlier in the day I had put her in the box and pulled her around the carpet. She loved it, so I guess this was her way of telling me to do it again!

The Spider Web

Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Kohl sent the kids a little Valentines package that included some balls of yarn. Great-Grandma Kohl wrote and said how much Nate loved to make spider webs with yarn when he was the boys age. So, of course, Gavin and Liam couldn't wait to try it out. With the help of Dad they created their first (of many, I'm sure) spider webs.
I'm not sure what to think of Liam! :)
Sorry this picture is blurry, but you can see there pipe cleaner spiders in the background and I couldn't resist the pose by Gavin!
Another view of the webs. (and Nate's knee)
Here's a better picture of Spike. Doesn't he look thrilled?! :)

"Look Mom I can walk!"

I am a little late getting this posted, but Yes, Ashlyn has finally decided that walking is o.k. She has been walking a few steps here and there for awhile now, but wouldn't walk far. She is finally realizing that she can walk to different places instead of crawling! She is still trying to getting her balance correct, but she is getting better at it each day! It is so crazy to think that next month she will turn 1 year old. Where did the year go? I have a few pictures of her walking. I have yet to get video of it, but will try to get some soon to post. Enjoy!

How about a close up after I walk to Mom with the camera! Gotta love that drool!

Such Talent!

Opps! Forgot to take the pacifier out for the picture!

February and a new family member

We are keeping busy with school, church, and work. January went by pretty quickly and now we have Valentines knocking on the door. I am looking forward to Spring, to get out and work in the yard. I am one of the crazy people who love to work outside and get my therapy from doing it. It has been so mild lately that some of my bulbs are trying to pop up. I am hoping that they stay in the ground at least another month. We have hardly had any snow since Christmas. It is crazy.
I have a few pictures of the kids and also of the newest member of our family. Yes, we broke down and got a kitten. We saw one on a local classified website and just could resist. The boys have named him "Spike". (not the name I would have chose, but oh well) He is a siamese mix, very handsome. We have only had him since Saturday, so we are still working on getting use to having him. He is a very scared, shy cat, so hopefully he will warm up to us eventually. The kids are LOVING him. They won't leave him alone. Ashlyn even gets excited around him. It is fun to see them interact and play with him. Anyways, that's what's going on around the Kohl house.

My kiddos!

Yes, she can stand, but hasn't dared to walk yet!
Watching her brothers play the Wii!
Watching Spike hiding down the stairs.
Not the best picture of him. But you get the idea. He has beautiful blue eyes.
Spike found this favorite spot only hours after we brought him home.
