Bear Lake Week #2
We just got back from our second week at Bear Lake. We are sad that all the fun is over and that we have to get back to real life. We are still trying to get out of vacation mode and back into real world mode. Luckily we had a Sunday to do that before Nate heads back to work tomorrow. We had a wonderful week with lots of sun, sand, water, and food. We rode waverunners and went boating. We even got Gavin and Liam on the waverunner and boat and they loved it! (I didn't get any pictures of it) :( We feel so blessed to have such a nice place to go to relax each year. I have tons of pictures again, so enjoy! Can't wait for our Bear Lake adventures next summer!
My sister having a late night snack! (She really wasn't eating all that, just most of it!) :)

What a week!
Whew! We are exhausted! We had quite a week this past week. I don't feel like we have sat down since we got back from Bear Lake last week. Thank goodness for today, a day of rest. Here is our week in review starting with yesterday and moving backwards to Monday.
Gavin learned to ride on two wheels! Goodbye training wheels.
Doesn't he look good?!
This is how we all felt yesterday after such a crazy week.
We went to the Clearfield parade on the 4th just to get our yearly parade in. We missed the Syracuse parade last weekend because we were at Bear Lake. The kids came home with way to much loot!

Nate's parents and youngest sister Ally were in town. Here is a picture playing mini-golf at the sparetime family fun center!

With Nate's parents in town we decided to bless Ashlyn. We were lucky to be able to do it in our home since Nate's parents wouldn't be here for a Sunday. It was a very simple and special occasion.

Ashlyn is wearing the dress that I was blessed in. It was made by my Aunt's mother. The Afghan she is laying on was made by my Grandma Hess who passed away almost 10 years ago. I am so grateful to have these special things to remind me of my great heritage.
Gotta love those smiles!
I can't believe she is already 3 months old!

The boys got to swim at Grandma and Grandpa Kohl's hotel.

Thanks Aunt Ally for swimming with them!
Last but not least, we said goodbye to Uncle Jordan (Nate's brother). He entered the MTC on Wednesday to serve a mission in Germany/Austria. We will miss him, but we are so grateful for the example he is setting for our boys.

We also managed to eat at Tucanos, play soccer in the backyard, have my family over for a BBQ and fireworks on Friday, and watch the Kaysville fireworks last night. It was a wonderful week. Now we take a week to recover and get ready to head to Bear Lake next week! :) I think the summer is going to be over before we know it!
Bear Lake Week #1
**WARNING** This post contains lots of pictures!
With that said, here are some pictures of our first week at Bear Lake. My family gets to use our Hess cabin for two weeks each summer. We are headed back there in a week, so I thought I better get these pictures posted before we head back and take a bunch more. This past week has been crazy as seen in another post, so that's why it has taken me a week to get these pictures on. We had pretty good weather and manage to get all of my family up for part of the week. Enjoy!
