We are surviving life and trying to enjoy every minute.  Our kids are growing fast and constantly making us proud to be their parents.

Easter 2017

Easter was a pretty normal Easter for us this year.  The kids had to search and search to find their baskets and then a few eggs for each of them.  They are getting a little to old for all of it (except Hazel, of course).  We may have to change our traditions a bit as the kids continue to get older.  We can definitely go with less candy! :)  We got some decent pictures of the kids in their Easter Sunday clothes.  And we also managed to dye some eggs on Easter.  Ashlyn wouldn't let the day go by without getting that done! 

It's great to be 8!

Ashlyn turned 8 on  March 31st!  It is very hard to believe she is already 8.  Time just never slows down. Ashlyn enjoyed a day of fun with me.  We went shopping for the afternoon which is exactly what Ashlyn loves to do!  Ashlyn is just a happy, spunky, creative and thoughtful girl!  We are so blessed to have her in our family.  

A week later, at the end of Spring Break, Ashlyn was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  It was a wonderful day filled with family, food, and happiness.  We are so proud of Ashlyn and her decision to be baptized.  She is a special girl!

 Not only did Ashlyn get baptized but her best friend, Claire was also baptized the same day.  It was so special for them to share there baptism day together.  Best friends since birth!

Liam's State Fair

Last fall when we knew we were going to be vacationing in Hawaii Liam made sure to let his teacher know that he wanted to do Hawaii for his state report this year.  :) It worked out really well because we were able to get pictures and souvenirs to create Liam's state fair booth.  The 5th grade put on a great patriotic program and then we were able to walk around and see all the students state fair booths. They were all very creative! 

Ashlyn's 8th birthday party!

With Ashlyn's birthday always falling close to Spring Break we decided to do her birthday party a week early so most of her friends could come! Ashlyn wanted a spa birthday party so we had the girls come to our house, opened presents, had cupcakes and then headed to Beyond Spa for some pampering.  It was a great time! All the girls got their fingernails and toenails painted and had cucumbers on their eyes and face massages.  It was a perfect party for 8 year olds!
